    Trivia: Series 26 to 31 | Summer Wine Decanted

    In this video we will look at some of things you probably didn’t know or hadn’t noticed before – from continuity errors to behind-the-scenes secrets in series 26 to 31.

    = What was the original title of the series 27 episode “Follow That Bottle”?
    = In the series 28 episode “The Crowcroft Challenge”, did you spot the posters in the library for a newly published book by the wife of one of the stars?
    = Brian Conley played “Boothroyd”, a neighbour of Barry and Glenda, in the series 29 episode “Enter The Finger”, but who was the role was originally offered to?

    The year 2023 marks 50 years since the pilot and first series of “Last of the Summer Wine” were broadcast. This series of videos is filmed in many of the well-known, and some less well-known, locations seen in the programme.

      Thank you for a wonderful series my late dad would have loved to have watched them as much as I have enjoyed them. i grew up with Summer Wine on a Sunday so it holds a special place in my heart.

      Another cracking episode, Leigh! I don't know if it's been mentioned before but I think it's worth saying that your theme tune (does it have a title?)complements the 'Last of the Summer Wine' theme exceptionally well. Great choice of music. Again, thanks for all the research which obviously has gone into these Trivia, and all the other LOTSW, episodes.

      "Get Out Of That Then" is curious in terms of its production code. The rest of that series, from "Enter The Finger" to "It's Never Been 10 Years" were numbered consecutively from ENCA181L through to ENCA190J, but "Get Out Of That Then", aired as the last episode, was numbered ENCA193R, which makes it seem more like an extra episode was added to that series' commission at a later stage than the rest. Unless originally they commissioned and signed off on 13 episodes and then dropped two at some stage before broadcast, as I cannot find anything else using the two missing numbers in between.

      Leigh today I watched is Jeremy quit safe and when he was at pub backyard with the lady’s the green hills background looked a bit fake but building was real

      Hi Leigh I’m nearly at the end off the 00s last of the summer wine just finished series 29 and I noticed Ivy missed a few episodes then she was there in episode Eva back in town

      Hi Leigh I watched when Alvin and Entwistle and Hobbo was chatting to Morton outside library and the audience had a lady laugh going ha ha ha ha it sounded real a bit
