After exploring Budapest’s stunning riverside Parliament buildings, the riders head out past Central Europe’s largest body of water, Lake Balaton. Continuing west, the cyclists enter Slovenia, a beautiful country of endless hills, following bike paths past Roman ruins and vast fields of corn.
They will stop to explore the spectacular hilltop castles in Ptuj and Celje before spinning into the country’s capital, Ljubljana. After wandering through one of Europe’s greenest cities, the riders head up into the Alps, a challenging climb that leads into an amazing 17 km descent. Arriving in Venice, the riders trade in their bikes for a boat ride into the city.
