  1. That’s fine, consider lowering the pressure if you’ve got them pumped up very hard. You’ll always slide about a bit on top surface gravel though, you get used to it.

I think they are kind of in the sweet spot. Traction still but easy rolling 👍. I replace when I get excessive flats

  3. The tires are in great condition. If you’re having issues with traction then you might be running too much pressure – particularly in the front tire. I run mine around 20-22.

  4. These are basically XC tires.

What kind of riding do you do?

For enduro, freeride, etc, these are garbage. On the rear you can get away with them. On the front you are asking for trouble/ misery.

  5. Gravel isn’t the best to ride on especially on loose corners. The tire does have wear but still usable but if it makes you feel better you can always buy a new one.

I would replace them. The sides are fine but the tires are pretty worn down the center tread.

  7. I think slipping in the front is weight distribution, maybe lookup bike and body separation. Slipping rear going up steep incline could be tire pressure and technique. Slipping the rear in turns, well you are just having fun. The tires look fine but if you are stating they are four years old, I am not sure about the duty cycle maybe check with the manufacturer.

Lean the bike and tires into the ground too. Wear those tires out all the way all around. Don’t be scared, they will have great traction on…dirt. Not gravel.

No, they’re dangerously bad. I’ll do you a solid and allow you to send that to me for proper disposal.

Rule of thumb. If the nubs still have the grooves/divets/lines still visible, you’re good.

I CAN ANSWER THIS! See those ramps on the wheel! Terrible – they lift the wheel. Reverse that front tire or buy square nub ones. Worked big for me.

  12. You’re tires are new because you aren’t riding the bike. You’re slipping out because you aren’t riding the bike. Get out there and practice

  13. Yep, try messing about with tyre pressure for more traction. You’d be amazed how low you can run modern tyres!!
