Exactly the same color as the 990 it’s a mini me that’s proper orange 390 good looking bike in it under slung exhaust when you think that you look at the features it’s literally identical to the big bike it’s just everything’s just been made smaller it’s really nice we got the rc125 the RC

390 they got quite a good range in the KTM 390 looks nice don’t it bit strange here they got a metal petrol tank and the actual seat mounting is all the same it’s composite of some sort like a one piece composite yeah that does look a bit

Strange doesn’t it so here we go the IG gun bik the one we rode last year the 690 KTM the Super Moto I’d say the chap sitting on it 5’8 5’9 I’m going to show you this I probably won’t get to ride it next year

Cuz this is the super Juke RR that’s all Kitty there ACA quic pipe on it loads and loads of uh carbon fiber this is the sort of thing you take on a track day give it some stick and should imagine it a fly it’s to compete

With a daati street fighter I think the deatti is probably slightly better looking but I’d think I’d probably have this engine I prefer the V2 to the V4 that’s just my opinion then white power Forks they are huge anyway let’s move on so we’ve got the upgraded 990

Adventure so also another one that’s well down on its suspension I think a lot of these bikes have been set up at the show so as they’ll appeal to the smaller person to be fair so you sit on it and you think I can touch the ground

Then when you get to the shop and everything’s fully loaded up and it’s um on his proper suspension setting it’s a lot higher it’s good looking bike is it it’s nice to see black instead of just all orange those paniers are rather big there we go Benny’s going to jump across

It fits well must admit the old the jugs at the front not really my cup of tea huge paniers we got one probably 35 L and 125 L I’d imagine not bad though pretty good looking so let’s just turn around and see the big boy that’s the adventure S I

Believe this is the 990 Adventure it’s the adventure s it’s the off-road version it’s a big tall bike with a big that seat’s a big tall seat here we go somebody’s jumping on it now I’d say about 58 5’9 definitely can’t touch the floor would struggle big time

But if you wanted to go Offroad not too heavy not too light this could be the one for you so moving across we got the super adventure 1290 now that’s a big beast isn’t it so we got the adventure R and the adventure s the S is the more Road one

And there we go there’s the r that’s the more offroy one well there you go can’t fault it so USV now this is um this might be coming to Dam rolles I believe I believe Steve’s in negotiations with husv to may be stocking them not 100% certain might

Happen might not if it does happen this is a bike I’m looking forward to riding so it’s the northern 901 now look at that and Old Troy and superimposed the picture of the CF Moto cuz when you think about it it’s the more or less the same engine KTM the

When I bought my original 800 tiger back in 2011 that were 7 and2 Grand 137 is Benny now Benny’s 5′ 10 loads of leg room fits nice and easy let’s have a quick look at the dash huge TFT Dash not activated but look at the size of that the bars look slightly

Pulled back this is the same I would say this is right on the bottom of its suspension put your feet down Benny so at 5′ 10 with a suspension quite low CU you can see the distance between the center stand and the floor is about 6 in

He’s he’s still semi Tippy toed so I think i’ think at 5’5 it’ll be a big bike but it’s good looking I’ll just show you this it’s the same bike it’s called the aragan it’s got the bars on it and everything 14 Grand similar Wheels to W and BMW they

Got the uh tubless tires with the spokes going to the outside it looks pretty damn good the rally arogant quite a big seat it’s amazing really it don’t seem that different to the original 800 tiger nice and narrow build quality for Thailand’s very good

All so if you’re looking for a new Street Fighter and you don’t want the mentalness of the KTM or the dati this is your pretty damn normal bike you can have plenty of fun give it plenty of thrash and really enjoy yourself so the other side

The CB 650r they’ve got this latest invention which is called an e clutch you’ve still got a conventional clutch lever but you don’t need to use it at all put it into gear so it’s got some sort of electronic shift on the gear box you it into first gear pull the

Clutch back and away it goes so here we go it adds about five or six kilos to the weight but as you can see there it is built on the outside there an electronic actuator it’s not the prettiest of devices it’s not a

DCT it’s not a Twist and go CVC it is an actual electronically operated clutch it does activate the clutch the bike itself is based on the same B mik that’s it’s been around for three or 4 years and of course this is the r with a fair in it’s

A lovely lovely red color and for those who was on about the color of the shocks last year this one’s got a black shock folks no yellow one no red one so I’m going to come across and show you the naked one so here we go this is the

Naked model it’s in a very nice metallic matte green love the color of the engine there’s that clutch closeup again get a better angle of it it’s not the prettiest of things is it but it does work it’s very effective you change gear with a foot operated gear lever and you’ve got the

Clutch now you can actually pull the clutch in knock it into gear and drive it like a normal motorbike or you can just let the E clutch just ignore the clutch the clutch lever that is and just keep snicking it through if you actually do use the clutch and then you don’t use

It for a while the e- clutch automatically comes back in and resets what do you think it’s got that same dashboard nice big Dash I’ve got to say I really like this bike I enjoyed riding it last year and I really are looking forward to riding it

With the E clutch this is one of the bikes I’m looking forward most to test riding after Christmas when they come in the shop on that CB 650r The Naked Bike beautiful okay so the Africa twins had a facelift for this year this is the adventure sports now as

  1. Not aimed at you Lofty, but I find the vast majority of bikes on display have acres of cheap looking gaudy plastic that is bad taste personified…….in my opinion! What happened to style and aesthetics?

  2. 2024 Adventure Sports AT is lower as now fitted with 19"Front wheels instead of 21" plus Adventure sports only be available in DCT, manual only available pure off road option.

It was very bad, very sparse exibits,no Harley, No Mv Augusta to name but a view. plenty of electric bikes of the push bike style (although technically they're not) Distinctly lacking, I was shocked to what it used to be. Some great looking bikes of ones I've never heard off. £6 plus FOR A SANDWICH, £16 FOR fish and chips.£5 to £6 FOR 2 coffees. You could get round it in half the time of say 15yrs ago. If you could do 2hrs you would be doing well. And get this, One of the only stands that didn't have prices was ural, they start now at around £23,000 you can get a bagger Goldwing for that, how on earth are they going to sell them?. I'd rather be honest to help the place and manufacturers up their game.Hugely disappointing. I'd travelled 300miles to see this. One more thing Triumph ( my favourite brand) you need to put more colours in your Rocket, 3 choices as far as I could see and all of them chrome and one colour and one in all Chrome, those colours do not do the largest Capacity production bike in the world justice you need one in at least Black and BRG, (subjective I know,) .and no touring model. Mind you I think all manufacturers are very unimaginative when it comes to colours lately. BSA where surprisingly good, great to see the marque, regardless of where its made. Good deals on full sets of A I.O. leathers start at under £200, gorgeous thick hide leather jackets, especially in Brown, £100. Not taking away anything from the lofty biker, always good, I saw them there on Tuesday.

  5. Be nice see your future ride on kymco 550 Premium see what you think of it certainly more value for money maxi scooter what rip off Yamaha are. Kymco done well 550cc bike putting out 52bhp only 2bhp off my 2015 nc750x DCT. It does look like nice machine ideal commute on bit shopping and leave bigger touring bike AT or NT for what it's meant for.

  6. You were very impressed with the Himalayans fit and finish i would have loved to hear your comments on the Triumph 400s fit and finish which so many reviewers say is nowhere near as good. It looks to me like the RE is built up to a quality whereas the Triumph seems to be built down to a price.

Two things I do not understand… a quickshifter at a track to save a few tenths is great on a sportsbike… why put it on a naked, I'm in no hurry to get my milk from tescos 2 tenth faster… more electronic rider aids (that reviewers are showing how to turn off) that will eventually lead to twist and go 1000cc bikes becoming as prevalent as honda c50's… what's next, a bike with no rider input an autonomous bike with the route laid in via an app and the "rider" and pillion are merely passengers who refuel it 😁 but seriously why quickshifters on road bikes?
    Secondly the gsx 8r… it's the gsx 8s with 4 or 5 bits of extra plastic for another £1500. Sportsbikes used to remove the fairing to become (overly) powerful naked bikes, now we have modest powered naked bikes that we are led to believe become fire breathing sportsbikes by adding weight and a couple of panels….
