Thoughts on this lil dent being an issue? Steel Trek 930, dent was from the owner before the current owner so cause unknown. Nobody’s had an issue. I know it’s steel, and I know it’s probably alright, but I’m a hypochondriac when it comes to little things like this.

I’m not a doctor, but I’d ride it forever like that. Seat stays don’t have huge bending stresses – mostly just compressive – so as long as material hasn’t been removed it’s not significantly weaker. I don’t really think this affects the bike much at all.
Absolute worst case scenario is a progressive failure that slowly jams up your rear wheel and you come to a stop. Not like a teeth-in-pavement fork snap.
It’s fine.
Unless your sending it to flat off some drops you should be fine for a few decades on that. I’ve seen BMX bikes with much worse dents on much more important tubes get ridden without failure.
Heck some kid sucked at rails and somehow dented and eventually ground through the down tube and it still landed some big hits before his parents made him replace it… the invincibility of touchy I guess.
It aint creased so its good.
I’d ride that.
