Hi fellow savers!
So, I’ve bought a new bike that came complete and I’d like to switch my bottom bracket to an hollowtech.

Unfortunately, I’ve tried for hours to remove it by turning the drive side clockwise (also tried anti clockwise because of my despair) and only ended up damaging it but it didn’t move an inch.

Also, I’ve been trying to remove the non drive side by turning it anti clockwise, yet the same thing happens.

Now before I try anything more extreme, could it be a faulty frame or does it happen often on new bikes?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Secure the tool using a bolt. Use an 18 adjustable. Place bike on its wheels and have a friend hold it. Use half your weight on the end of the spanner it should shift.
