Most of my YouTube films last 1-2 minutes, some a little longer; also see my Google Website: Turn the Pedal:

Both provide tips of my solo bike ride in Nov-Dec 2022 from Perth to Melbourne, just under 4000 km – approximately 2500 miles.

The layout is purposely kept simple, bite-sized information to help you start your own bike adventure.

I’m not a professional cyclist; like most I enjoy getting on my bike, turning the pedal and cycling short or longer distances.

In 2022, I was 62, and on the 30th Oct I flew with my bike from Sweden to London; then 1st Nov, I took a direct flight to Perth, Western Australia.

2nd Nov I unpacked the bike and that day and the 3rd Nov I resolved the necessary admin, then on the 4th Nov I began to cycle solo. Day 1 was Perth to Brookton 130km.

Many thousands turns of the pedals later I arrived in Melbourne, Victoria; 33 cycle days and 7 rest days, and a huge amount of amazing times and days were behind me, as were the 3826 kms, my adventure was over – until the next time.

Hi my name is Anthony it’s now December 2023 and the new year is soon to start I’m in Stockholm and Sweden so wherever you are warm greetings a year ago in November December 2022 as the co pandemic ended I decided to cycle across Australia why Australia

I have children there and I could have flown to them and I did but I flew to Perth in Western Australia first and then from Perth I cycled to them in Melbourne just under 4,000 km now at the time I was 62 I’m 63 now and in a few months I’ll be

64 and what’s next for me while I’m planning a new cycle ride also in Australia much longer 7 ,000 km but that’s another chapter that I’m planning at as we speak now now what I’ve been asked to do by so many people is to provide information about the trip that I made in

Australia uh so that’s what I’ve done I’ve created around about 20 short YouTube films each lasting about one or two minutes there’s a few around about two or three four minutes and I’ve also created a website it’s nothing fancy but the website and the YouTube films provide information

About the bike that I cycled the kit that I took the terrain the distances and the places and things like this so in your search engine if you search for turn the pedal path to Melbourne you should find me I hope you find the information in the YouTube films and on the website

Helpful so look for turn the pedal PA to Melbourne and you’ll find me there so as we enter now 2024 I hope it’s going to be a good one for you it’s going to be a good one for me I’m really looking forward to the next cycle ride across Australia so whatever you’re

Planning to do if it’s the first time or if you’ve done it before good luck and keep the dream alive take care bye

Share.
