Howdy all. I bought my kids Kink BMX bikes, they aren’t quite ready for no training wheels. Do any of you know of any that would fit on them? The axle is half inch (.500). Here is a link to what they have specifically. One is 18″ the other is 16″

From what I found, just do an Amazon search for “adjustable training wheels” and you should be able to get two of the same sets and use for both bikes, just installed at different heights.
15mm drill bit, took maybe 2 minutes total to do my daughters bike.
Take the pedals off and drop the seat low so their feet can touch the ground. Basically, turn it into a balance bike for while they learn
Yup as other answers, don’t bother with training wheels, they’ve long since been found to be a hindrance to learning to ride. Pedals (and crank arms if possible) off, seat lowered make it a balance bike, it helps them far better than training wheels to achieve balance and a level of confidence.
Don’t do it. Take the pedals off and let them use it as a balance bike.
Gonna add another vote for balance bike mode instead – it actually teaches them the skills to ride a bike, whereas training wheels are arguably counterproductive for steering/leaning.
