Was raised in the House of Commons today whether air rifle should be banned because of your case Tommy this is the the local newspaper the beex hean and uh Welling news today talking about whether the guns like this should be stopped but this wasn’t an ordinary air gun it

Couldn’t have caused that much damage we’ve spoken closely or Leos closely with the forensic science service for the pet to have traveled the distance it did to have raptured Tommy’s lung passed through his G ladder and is now embedded 10 cm in his liver this wasn’t any ordinary air weapon something must have

Been done to this weapon and what concerns me more is that we haven’t recovered this weapon yet it’s still out there and can still injure somebody else’s son various people as you say Tommy must have seen this there was of course the guy and and the kid who who

Came up to you to say see if you were okay we really badly need to hear from them and anybody else now apart from people who directly saw things or saw things after the event or before or saw somebody with a gun or the rest of it

Clearly the focus was on getting to the hospital and getting some medical treatment urgently there was a distinct possibility that uh she wouldn’t survive a night the next day she underwent emergency surgery it saved her life but if someone hadn’t found her as soon as they did there’s little doubt

The crime but interestingly perhaps the most one I’ve seen is a police officer who’s called in from pontif frct who says he’s absolutely sure who this couple are their ammo fits their description fits everything fits on the air gun shooting uh in southeast London the same name is now come in 10 times
