I know this is minor, just trying to learn about disc brakes after service rim brakes for years.
After washing my bike after a muddy ride, noticed a bright pink speck on the inside front caliper. Took a wet qtip and rubbed it gently and it wouldn’t wipe away. I’m assuming soap or ground debris would wash off and brake fluid isn’t pink.
Again, I know this is minor just hoping someone might know what it is for learning purposes. Is it simply the plastic of the caliper wearing?
