this a good stem as far as reliability/durability? anyone ever run it? says its forged & i’ve heard cnc machined is best so i’m just curious what yall think.
I definitely prefer CNC over forged stems, but I rode one of these for a year before giving it to my brother who’s been riding it for 2 years. It’s a tank for what it is.

If I were getting a forged stem I’d save another $10 and get the Sunday Freeze

It’s fine enough – as has been said I’d run a CNC over a forged but it’s not a bad part.

Wow, these are some clueless replies.
CNC stands for “computer numerical control.” A big, computer controlled machine cuts a chunk of something into a shape.
**’Forged’ is better than ‘cast’.** Absolutely no question.
You can **cast** a stem and then CNC it to refine the shape just like you can **forge** a stem and then refine with CNC.
The Sunday Freeze is a **cast** body and **forged** plate. The Shadow you are asking about is 100% forged.
