Joined the Brompton community not long ago since Sep 2023. I had a lot of fun rides over the last 3 months! Mostly leisure rides and had done around 250km so far.
Here I want to share my bike and wrap up my thoughts on the accessories I have got so far:
1) KALLAX cabinet and SKÅDIS pegboard – Compact storage and useful, looks good too.
2) Tool kit – I had a puncture in the middle of nowhere once, had to walk with the bike for an hour… After this lesson a tool kit, pump and spare tube is a must wherever I ride. The tool kit is expensive but it is the most suitable can be found. I would say it is a missing part of a brompton.
3) Front light – Bright. Doesn’t occupy handle bar space.
4) Be seen light – I like the feature of the rear light can hold with the saddle. And the front light fit perfectly at the brake lever. Another missing part of a brompton.
5) Bottle cage – recommended by a redditter here. Good that it can stay on bike even when folded.
6) Seatpost mid stop block – it meant for easier pushing by stoping the bike unfolding when the seatpost is at its mid height. But i don’t recomand it because even the seatpost is at its midbheight it is still too low to push. I had to bend my back to push efficiently. A simple velcro strap to hold the wheel and the frame maybe the best and cheaper solution. Also considering to add a rear rack.
7) Phone mount – only complain is the small space on M bar is not horizontal so the phone is slightly tilt.
8) Saddle bag – my side hobby is leathercraft so I made a saddle bag for the bike. British cartridge bag style for a London made Brompton, nothing match more than that. The rear light wouldnt be blocked in this setup.
9) Front basket – DIY for takeaway. May get a strap for it.
In 2024 I will definitely get it a front bag, maybe a pair of ergon grip too. Still struggling if I should add a rear rack for easier pushing. May also consider a proper cycling computer to log the ridesand setup trainings. Any comments?
Have a wonderfold year of 2024!

Thanks for the share. Have a great 2024!
The rear rack made a big different for me personally. But I have a small dog I put in the front so I kinda need it.
