Here I go again on my own walking down the only Road I’ve ever known okay except I’m not going to be on my own good morning from West Swindon Roger is fully loaded like the pack horse that he is and today heading off on a little mini adventure to
Whales um so not on my own this time uh picking up a friend from work who’s recently returned back to riding so Lee on his Triumph Speed twin I think that’s right yeah I’m pretty sure that is wrong um is coming with me and we are camping
That’s right in the middle of October we’re camping so that’s going to be fun got a kind of a loose plan of what I feel like doing in Wales tell you what the temperature has dropped a little bit so we going to pick up Lee and uh
Head on out again my trusted favorite uh thing of not following motorways so it’s going to take us a little bit longer than usual um Lee has been warned again we’re riding at H speed so good luck with that also riding with him Laden speeds and Charlie who’s
Um yeah Charlie’s put on a bit of Chunk Charlie’s trousers are very Tight so I will catch you when I’ve picked up Lee and uh I’m we’ll go from there right it’s all for now so here we are on the road and it’s uh drizzling already and uh first part of our journey is going to be about an hour or
So and we’re staying off the motorways on the uh dual carriageway Etc so uh it’s going to it’s about a 3-hour trip uh Lee has checked the weather going through Herford at about lunchtime and it’s uh it’s not looking great so I’ve actually put me uh waterproof iron GS jacket on
Already cuz I anticipate getting a little foggy potentially currently Roger is flying along after his service so we are fully loaded and he’s quite happy at 17 bless his little cotton I have to wait for Lee actually right well we’re definitely in Wales I said we’re definitely in Wales oh
Hello that’s Lee the reason I know we’re in Wales is cuz there’s cheap Cloud rain and wind I’m just having a look at the back of your helmet that’s very swi and appropriate swind in appropriate yeah the magic Roundabout what that’ be why what [Applause] a sheeps oh dear I had a bit Fire by the look of it I’m watching out for all these 20 mph limits so far seems to be 30s and 40s that we’re in there are a lot of kites in this
Area go you won’t be able to see them on the GoPro but oh we go there’s one of those 20s so my first experience of the new Welsh 20 mph it’s fun N [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] n Yeah right come on we’re about 13 minutes from thinging 13 minutes from thinging yeah does help if you don’t have the side Stand Down what a wble yep don’t worry no one’s ever going to know oh great Wow we are now in the Elan Valley and it is stunning but I don’t know how much of it you’re going to see cuz it’s quite Cloudy Some very cool little Switchbacks Up Wow what you think L very nice very nice very good very nice Oh How W oh Well just had a nice little stop for breakfast a few miles from the campsite at I don’t even know where we are Cross Gates Service Station well there’s a nice cafe which apparently is quite popular with biking cuz yeah just doing a bit to [Laughter] camera you Ready oh my God I got sheep all over my Boots yesterday 145 miles to get to where we ended up last last night so far today we are being treated wonderfully by the uh by the weather now unfortunately Sandy um Wilshire man messaged me this morning he and Dicky are not going to be able to
Make it um Sandy came AC Cropper off his push bike uh a short while ago and has um actually managed to crack a couple of ribs and he was hoping that it would be better and less painful so he’d be able to come with us um unfortunately he’s
Messaged me this morning to say he’s just too uncomfortable um which is perfectly understandable so get well soon Sandy trying to practice my uh bike safe learnings which was to open up the vision on the road for things like sheeps so Beautiful Oh oh [Applause] [Applause] oh Oh well we’ve arrived at campsite number two this is an interesting one so this is the Landover caravan and camping Park which uh we’re camped just here so that’s Lee’s setup and mine Roger’s just there and the reason I’m on railings is that I’m actually sat in the cheap seats at the rugby
Stadium so the caravana camping site is literally on the grounds of the rugby site and I’m sat here cuz this is where I’m doing my editing you just can’t write it you can’t Also with lettuce tomato and onions got me I can [Applause] Cho Thursday afternoon bows well the rain is coming down and the Thunder has started but uh thanks to Tracy Lloyd Frank tibbles and Robert Basco for today’s uh Brothers strawberries and cream English cider which you have bought me it’s not
Sponsored um but that’s what I have purchased a little case of um with your very kind uh donations of a tea or a coffee or a cider [Applause] [Applause] So A

Charlie, your drone Cinematography has come on leaps and bounds. That bit over the dam was stunning!!.
Great to see and join in your adventures as always.
So beautiful the scene of dam
You are getting good at producing these videos Charlie. Enjoy yourself and try to stay warm in the tent.
Hi Charlie! Another great video with awesome editing and music – again!
Thanks for taking us with you as always 😊👍
Yet again a brilliant video, very inspiring. Did i notice you ran one of the dam shots backwards ! Very clever. Looking forward to part 2. 😁
Great scenery
Travelling at sub 20 mph?
Nah —-I'll give it a miss……..
Bye bye Wales, it was nice while it lasted.😮
Greetings from down under. Another wonderful episode. I was absolutely mesmerised from start to finish. Thankyou.
absolutely loved that , the footage of the dam was awesome. 👌 thank you 👍
How many miles has Roger done now? Sounds like he has decided he is run in and ready to roar
I keep wondering how you Brits are coping with the rain. It's like rain isn't bothering you guys at all.I take my hat off for that. When it's raining at the start I don't even bother putting my gear on, if the rains starts when I'm on the road, well that's just bad luck, but frankly I hate it. Keep that spirit it up Charlie 👍👍
Stunning epic content in this video 😮Fantastic 👏🏻 Thank You.
Hi Charlie loved your mini tour❤
You must return again on a summers sunny day.
Fabulous footage Charlie, love the countryside up there, Love your adventures large and smallish!
I agree with the drone cinematography comments Charlie….I have been to the cafe you went in….nice breakfasts !….the look on both of your faces having forgotten your glasses was brilliant ( yes I have done similar too !)….hey…safe riding !..
It's a shame you stopped singing. I was enjoying that 🎵❤️
Very nice film making
I hope you enjoyed our lovely Welsh scenery and our lovely weather Charlie 😁😁
Not the best weather Charlie, but what a place👍Some of those roads were incredible and your drone footage was just awesome, especially at the first dam👌Part 2 looks…interesting😂
Stunning drone footage ride safe
Great video again.
I did my first mini-tour of Wales 3 or 4 weeks before this and was cooking in 29 degree sunshine! Loved it. Some spectacular views and stop offs at some streams to cool down, then a £30 AirBnB!
Thought all the original 30 mph are now 20? I have seen some signs have changed
Some stunning scenery there Charlie. All of these travelogs just make me wanna retire now, get a touring bike and just Go! Keep doing this, luv your content.
Love the show, Thank you.
Can I ask what computer set up you use for your camera's I am starting off myself and could do with some guidance Thanks Malcolm.
Nice video and ride!!!
You met Lee in McDonald's, obv.
Nice vlog Charlie … The Elan Valley is beautiful, and a fantastic place for chugging around on motorcycles…Just sorry I couldn’t make the weekend..Lee seems I nice chap although he kept disappearing and blending in with the foliage 😉😄..Ex forces no doubt .. Take care x👍
What a wonderful video, I really enjoyed that.
You and your videos are something of an inspiration to me. I did the Zero to Hero course to get my licence at the end of July, having never been on a bike before in my life. I then bought a Euro5 Himmy, also in black, then spend a week touring Cornwall at the beginning of September. My next planned trip is the highlands, and living in Bristol I often take trips over into Wales.
Keep the great content coming.
# 홧팅 🍒👍!!!
Hi Charlie, great to watch from your pov. This is my playground 50 miles from me and I have been doing this for 10s years and never get bored. I think it is as beautiful as anywhere I have been. I still sometimes see a road and just take it. Wales and the Marches bordering Herefordshire and Shropshire is something else. There’s loads more for you to explore honestly. Luckily for me if the sun shines I get on my bike and go. I can see the himmy is perfect for that as you can’t go that fast anyway. My v strom is also fantastic. From 30-120 ( allegedly) in 6 th gear totally tractable twist throttle and enjoy scenery. Just my pov I think there will be more accidents in the 20s as the concentration required takes focus off the drive to the speedo renderingbobservations less. I stand in awe of those Victorian engineers on how they did this, no diggers, just tough men and the brains behind it.
That moment u captured the “forgot glasses” is me everytime i go for a meal so have to order the same everytime made me chuckle. Some pubs etc have a box of forgotten glasses where I live😂😂
I really enjoyed your shots of some familiar places that I visited earlier this year, in the sunshine 😉 Kudos for camping in typical "Welsh weather"!
Shame the Owl's Nest was closed, I had a fabulous burger there. Also that Sandy & Dickie couldn't make it – but I know how WM feels having broken 2 ribs 7 weeks ago, I'm not at all surprised he had to back out. Hopefully a repeat outing once he's fit and well?
Gosh, did this trip on Himmy in mid May this year, didn't have a drop of rain all week, Blue skys and sun. Unbelievable.
really enjoyed that vid charlie fab drone footage thank you
Hello Charlie
Normally i would have been jealous of your work colleague … the weather needs to be better for me to come…. i had a fantastic trip to France 🇫🇷 last month in October on my other motorcycle its great if you avoid the motorway and tolls. I like the drone shots but did you reverse the footage at all as it looked like the water 💧 was running up the dam wall 😂… what software do you use for the video editing as i have some to do… or i could just let you do it for me 🎉 you have cost me a lot of money Charlie buying motorcycles and going touring with them. Ps Charlie I see you are struggling to get your leg over. ….. 😊 I recommend yoga 🧘♂️ 👌
des images magnifiques, superbes avec ton drone, milles merci pour ces belles images ! je ne parle pas anglais ou très très peu, mais pour regarde ces belles images pas besoin de parler !!!
Rain in Herefordshire! Who knew! Lol
I love Charlie Chunk , your like Mary Poppins, perfect . You just make this old boy happy with your carry ons LOL
Hate Motorways on a bike. no sense of adventure and very bland. A and B roads are so much better
