Very recently bought some 28 mm GP 5000. I was trying to do a bunny hop and landed right on the edge of the side walk with my back tire (yes I’m stupid), and have this damage on the tire. The inner tube is visible through the hole when inflating it. Is there any way to fix this? I was thinking of trying the park tool TB-2 but seems it’s only a temporary fix. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I agree that boot is just a temp fix designed to get you home if it happens out on the road. Most likely that slit will grow bigger and the tube will bulge through. I would chalk it up to a life lesson learned and put a new tire on. That’s just my 2 cents…
You can get home on it but it’s cooked.
Glue on a fiber reinforced patch to the inside of the casing.
