I’m new to cycling but I’d like to go for a short bikepacking trip soon. I found this bike online for quite cheap. It has a steel frame, Shimano SIS, 38 spokes (I think). I couldn’t find much about the brand.

Mate, racks, fenders, dynamo lights, 18 speed, looks in good shape, what more could you ask for. Maybe replace cables, tubes and even tires if its been unused for years.
