I’ve been thinking about a city bike — and while the Trek District seems awesome, these two seem more affordable.
Marin Presidio 2is on sale for 699 (https://www.marinbikes.com/bikes/2023-presidio-2)
L-train (w/disc) is on sale for 637 (https://www.prioritybicycles.com/products/ltrain)
It’s hard to see how the L-train isn’t just a free Gates belt drive in this comparison. I don’t particularly value the belt (or really even the disc brakes) — but why wouldn’t I take it for free (and get a bike with a 10x better paintjob). What am I missing?

Besides chain or belt drive:

Fame material:
Marin has an aluminum frame and fork.
Priority has a chromoly steel frame and fork.
Marin doesn’t list the weight. Maybe it’s a few pounds lighter.

Pickup or shipped to you:
Marin you would pickup at a Marin dealer ready to ride out the door and the shop may include some free tuneups in a few months or within a year or longer.
Priority gets shipped to you and you do the final assembly and possibly some tuning or ship it to one of their local bike shop partners for assembly to be ready to ride out the door.
