Um quite bad yeah what happened did you have it rebuil or said to me yeah I had the I I took it to Morocco and as was doing some kind of semi off-roading got back and the the thread for the spark plug just completely popped out of the

Engine so I had to get the whole top of the engine rebuilt it then spent about four God maybe even four to six mon four to 6 months something like that at a mechanic waiting parts and getting fixed I then rode it through probably a foot

Of water it rode fine after that but then I left it outside in torrential rain for a week but you know ever since Morocco and a few other things it’s just not been running right so it’s not good um okay interesting it’s the problem is it’s probably the the

Rings and and uh you know the barrels need doing yeah um it’s you’re probably better off if you’re going to repair it is to get another engine you know just put an engine straight in it wow so you think it is probably potentially that far gone it’s just not worth spending

Any more money on it I wouldn’t spend money on that engine no it’s if you want to you you could get another engine yeah in it uhhuh um that’s an option I would if I was you if it was mine I would either put another engine in it y you

Know buy an engine off the internet which you’ll probably spend you know you’ll see them on there between sort of 700 to 1,000 lb for an engine yeah um complete um that should one option yeah and then put an engine in that bike or you you know the only other option is to

Buy another bike or you can rebuild that engine but you’re got to spend money doing that and it’s already done 40,000 do you know what I mean you you could get another engine which has done sort of 20 10 20,000 yeah um other options are obviously to get another buy

Another bike you know is another option you don’t want to money on that you can put that money towards another bike so the way it is right now basically it doesn’t run I wouldn’t be able to trust it to use it as a you bake no because

It’ll probably run all right when you’re opening it up and riding it at faster RS but when it’s low it’s just chugging and horrible it’s yeah it’s not got the compression to keep it going you know and it’s pushing air past the Rings back into the air box which is making it run

Have to fit the engine and then we’d have to make sure it’s running we’d have to make sure that the engine i’ bought is a good engine that works so there are huge huge risks involved in replacing an engine and putting a new engine in a bike is is not something I feel

Comfortable with Jason’s opinion it’s not worth saving the bike so that is the end of the Bon Saga that’s lasted 7 months since Morocco the the bike is dead it’s at troto now I said to Jason look can I just have one or two days

Just to think about what to do to decide and I’m still not 100% sure right now my initial thought top of my list I cannot spend any more money on it I can’t spend a grand and a half minimum maybe for example on an engine and fitting it and seeing if it

About 60 left of them but it’s got this lovely flick here on the side so it goes from dress mode and you can see the dial change flick it down into riding mode so you can actually see the right orientation of the watch face when you’re riding just beautiful beautiful

Choice then you’ve got the original Hans but they will be phased out imminently by what will be a huge upgrade in the new one motor gutsy v v 100 stunning look looking bike with that characterful v twin engine 13 and 1 12K I can’t lie that’s probably a bit expensive for

Me but next to it one of these 11,200 for a bike I love the v85 TT you can get them even cheaper on the used Market at about I think I think 5 or 6K potentially that is an interesting proposition Behind These I’ve seen something that definitely would be in my

Short list the V7 motor goodies I’ve only just seen these this is the upgraded 850cc and this is a revelation compared to the much slower outgoing model that left about three or four years ago or so this new 850 engine in this bike meant to completely transform it compared to the predecessor £

8,600 I believe for a brand new one just classically styled beautifully elegant bikes that would definitely definitely be in the short list coming through here Monica’s dream bike the mint Vesper lineup of Royal enfields with something I’m hoping to test out in a couple of weeks or so the super meteors
