My name’s Kirsty. I’m a customer service assistant at Hampton Square. Hampton is located 10 minutes from the University of Southampton Highfield Campus. I’ll be showing you a premier studio today and a bronze en suite. We’ll also be looking around the communal spaces and the grounds of Hampton. This is the reception.
We have eight members of staff. Wendy and Joan are the cleaners. Amy is the assistant scheme manager. And then we also have Bob and Erin, the handymen. And Annie is the scheme manager. And Paulina. And me and Paulina are customer service assistants. So we are going to move into communal spaces now.
Just give us a few moments to walk down. The weather’s not great today. I’m just going to show quickly the site. Four hours. It’s open 24 hours. Our staff are there from 8 till 5. And then after hours we’ve got a security. So there’s always someone in the reception.
Okay, so this is the entrance to our communal space. So we’ve got the tennis table. We’ve got the benches. And just a quick look around. We’ve got lovely barbecue spots for the summer barbecues. Okay, and Acarthe is going to show you around the communal spaces now.
So in the communal spaces we have study areas. These are first come first served. You don’t need to reserve. A fully functioning kitchen. Feel free to use it. Our letter boxes are shared from up to four to seven people. Unless you have a studio, then you get your own letter box,
Which is in one of the rooms. And then we have a little bit of a living room. And then we have a little bit of a living room. So if you have a studio, then you get your own letter box, which is in reception. There’s a TV room. Okay. Okay, yeah.

So if you have any large group projects, you are free to use this room as well. Okay. So they all open 24 hours. As Kirstie mentioned already, you do not need to pre-book it. It is for everyone to use. Okay. Lovely. So, we are now going to move on to the cinema room,
The gym and the laundry. Okay. Kirstie’s going to tell you more about it in a minute. Okay. So that’s another one. The study room is in a block, underneath block D. So the gym and cinema room are accessible 24-7. You need to sign a disclaimer and then you’ll be given
Fob access to use these. Okay. Okay. So this is the cinema room with a bit of a twist at the moment as we’ve got a spinning bike in the corner. So that little screen behind you is for you to stream any workouts and movies.
Okay. So you’ve got all those bin bags for you to use. Large screen. And you can feel free to invite your friends, have a cinema night or have a workout, yoga or spinning. It’s all up to you. Okay. No, you don’t need to book in advance. All the facilities are open 24 hours
And you don’t need to pre-book any of them. You just come and use it whenever you like to. Okay. And that’s including the gym, which we’re going to show you in a minute. So there are people using the gym at the moment. Okay. Yes, that’s fine. Sorry, we’ll be quick. All right.
So we’ve got our lovely students working out at the moment. Okay. So, the gym again is open 24 hours. It’s included in rent. So you don’t need to pay for anything or you need to pay for the gym. So, you don’t need to pay for anything.
All you need to do to join is just to fill up. Yes, the gym is free. So it is included in rent. And all you need to do to join is you need to pop around to the reception, fill up the fitness disclaimer and we’re going to pop the access
To the gym into your key fob. Okay. Sorry, that was a bit noisy. And again, the gym is open 24 hours. So it’s going to use. Sorry. We’re going into the laundry room now, which is supplied by Circuit Laundry. For a load of washing is £3.40 and for a load of tumble drying
Is £1.90 per load and this room is open 24 hours as well. Okay. So this is to share between all of you, all the six blocks. Okay. So as you can see, the washing machines are quite large and so are the dryers. Okay. And welcome for anyone who joined.

For you all to borrow. We also have three bin rooms located around Hampton Square and a smoking area. So we’re now going to go and see an en suite. This is a few minutes walk away, so you might lose signal. Yes. Okay. So yes, so laundry room is in the Block D.
As you can see here, so all the communal spaces are just below Block D. So if you would like to have it in hand, I would recommend booking a room in Block D so you can just take a lift through this door and you’re basically in a communal spaces. Sorry, I’m sorry. Okay.

Weak signal when we move in the buildings. But it will be restored. So don’t worry about us. So we do have six buildings, A, B, C, D and E. The reception is in building A, which I’m going to just show you now quickly. Okay, so that’s building A. B. C.
Then you’ve got the building D with the communal spaces underneath it. Then you’ve got building E and F. So buildings A, B, D and F has got four floors. And building C, E and D has got five floors. And E has got just and also block E has got the basement.
As opposed to other buildings. Okay, so we are going to show you the bronze en suite in block E. Okay, let us just give us a second to walk to the room. Hello for anyone who joined. Okay. Okay. So this is something that we call a cluster flat. Okay.
So this is a cluster flat. And you go into the room. Lovely. So we have the bronze en suite, which is £170 a week. Our classic platinum standing and bronze en suite, so all the same layout, but priced differently as to how high you are in the building.
Our silver en suites have a bigger bedroom. And our gold en suites have a bigger bedroom and bathroom. Our en suites come with a small double bed. A bookshelf. Drawers. Yes, it is included in the bills. The Wi-Fi is included in the bills. Sorry. A desk and a chair. A full size wardrobe.
I will just open the door so you can see inside. Okay, well. You get five plugs in the room. Four under your desk and one on top of the bed. You get an overhead lamp. Wi-Fi in your room and a pod bathroom, which we’ll show you in a second.
Okay, so that’s the view from this particular room. So that’s the bathroom. So this is like a pod sort of thing with a obviously toilet, sink, mirror and your shower. And then the bathroom. So that’s the bathroom. Okay. And you obviously you’ve got… Okay, let me just show you
Quickly the room again for those who just joined. So this is a bronze en suite again. You’ve got under the bed storage as well. So classic en suite, standard en suite, bronze and platinum. It’s got the same size and layout. The only difference is where they are situated in the building.
So the higher you are in the building, there’s always a few pounds difference in rent. That’s the only difference. But if you book this one, that’s what you’re going to get bronze, standard, classic and platinum en suite rooms. Okay. Has anyone got any questions regarding the room?
Okay, we’re just going to show you the shared kitchen now then. So because we’re fully talented, the kitchen isn’t within this cluster. But if you imagine it would be this door here that would lead onto your kitchen. Okay. Now you will need to clean your own kitchen and your room.
Our housekeepers are looking after the cluster which is this bit. And they are cleaning the communal kitchens. And you and your flatmates will be responsible for cleaning your own kitchen. Okay. So students usually organise like a rota. So they take it in turns with regards to cleaning the kitchen. Apologies for the signal.
I think it has come back now. So that’s another cluster. And we are just going, Kirsty is just going to tell you more about the shared kitchen. Okay. Lovely. So all of our kitchens come with a full-size fridge freezer. Every room has a freezer shelf and a fridge shelf.
So if you was in a seven bed cluster you would have two fridge freezers. They all come with an oven, microwave, sink, a vanity of storage space, a table and chairs. And then you get a front room area with the sofa, small table and TV. Okay.
So I’m just trying to show you from the corner. So the bigger the cluster you would get two sinks, two ovens to accommodate how many people are within that cluster. Yeah. Okay. So this is the small kitchen. You’ve got your own TV. This size is for a five person cluster. Okay.

Once you move in, you will get your own key fob. So the rooms are very secure and you’re the only person who’s got the access to your room. The key fobs are basically only allow you to open your own room, your own cluster and the main gate.
So no one ever has any access to your room apart from the staff and yourself. So how many fridges in the kitchen? So if it’s a small cluster from four till five, there’s one big fridge and freezer. If the cluster is bigger, let’s say six or seven persons, you get two fridge freezers.
So depending on where you are in the building, you may get four little fridges. It depends. You also have, if you feel like you haven’t got enough space in your fridge freezers, you also have a fridge and freezer in a communal kitchen. So you can put your food in there,
You can store it there if you wish. We’re on the second floor and Kirsty’s going to show you around the premium studio now. So all of our studios are just behind a push-fire door. There’s no fob access required as you do have fobs on your actual door. So because we are fully booked,
This is a talented room. Hello. Hello. Is it right to come in? Lovely, thank you. Hi there. So this is a premium studio. It’s £220 per week. The bedroom comes in a small double bed, a small house, a desk, a chair, a full-size wardrobe. You get a self-contained kitchen
With a few cupboards, a fridge freezer, two hobs, a combi oven. You also have the same pod bathroom that you’ve just seen. Standard, premier, platinum and classic studios are all the same. They’re just priced differently as to how high you are in the building. You can have double occupancy
In all of our studios for an extra £20 per week. Yeah. So again, as you can see, I’m sorry, you’ve got a small double bed shelving above it. You’ve got plenty of storage. Obviously your desk. So you’ve got a double bathroom above the desk. Just going to have a quick look.
So kitchen table. You’ve got shelving on site next to the kitchen. And again, you’ve got that beautiful large wardrobe that you can store everything in it. The difference with the bathroom in the studio is you get a double shower, and then you’ve got a double bathroom. Yeah, so there it is.
There’s Mr Shire again. There’s a mirror cabinet. So if we go into the hallway for any questions, shall we? Yeah, so I just want to take a look another round into the bathroom so you’ve got the toilet as well. Okay. Oh. Right. So let me just close that. Okay, is there anything

So we do have cameras covering the courtyard. Okay, apologies. The Wi-Fi might, because we are moving the building again, the Wi-Fi might get a bit frozen. Right. Is it up to a good size? Is it up to a good signal? Yeah, I think it’s to go back to the reception.
Okay, so and again, you’ve got… If we head round in this direction, we also have bike storage. Yeah. There’s some here, but most of them are under shelter. Yeah, so that’s our sheltered bike storage. So you can store your bag here safely. And then in front of you

It’d be not less than 100 megabytes. That’s all I can say at the moment. Also, in terms of location, we are 10 minutes walk from the Highfield campus. We’ve got all… We’ve got the bus stop across the road. We’ve got the convenience store. There’s Subway, McDonald’s. We’ve been walking this distance.
And yes, there are plenty of supermarkets nearby. There’s two large supermarkets within two minutes walking distance. And you’ve got plenty of takeaways. We’ve got a… Nathan’s Famous as well. Yes, we’ve got McDonald’s just across the road. So it’s all very convenient. The location is very convenient. Hello. Hi, guys. Thank you for joining.
