We journied the 750 odd Ks over France to the very south east where we were strategically placed to access the Mont Blanc tunnel for heading over to Italy.
We took it easy for the day but did some good miles on the bike and had a dip in the lake.
H morning well after what feels like all too short T night we are arriving into France yeah slept really well um just not for long enough we got a long old drive today about 500 mil across France um to get to our first campsite on the banks of uh Lake
Ane um yeah looking forward to it and got a bit of a grind to get there but nice to get it over with but yeah look we’re inside the harbor wall so got to be docking soon well hello and uh welcome to shab um and when I say shab I don’t actually
Mean a nice cool glass of uned chardonnay what I actually mean is a service station um so we’re about halfway um halfway through our drive across France um we’ve uh we’ve done yeah yeah almost exactly halfway we at 7 780 odd I think to do kilometers in total um and we’re
Now on 300 and something so yeah you know we’re we we’re in the right side of ballpark um uh hoping to get there about 6 or 7:00 tonight um so yeah making good progress but Christ I want to get there um we had a bit of a uh
Bit of a carry on around Versailles um we got directed by the satav off the perap um but unfortunately the road that she tried to direct us through had a 2 m height limit and we’re about 2.1 M um so we we chose to avoid that rather
Than have the uh awning ripped off the side of the van probably a bad look that so um we had to oh took ages to find the right way around it but we got there in the end and we’re on our way so yeah no hassles really where are
We well we are um we’re on the western uh side of Lake Anese we’re just driving down to the uh to the site um we’ve got 3.9 km to go having done a big old drive right the way across France Big Country France um but yet we’re shortly to be
Arriving scenery is magnificent some fantastic mountains um yeah it looks uh it looks lovely but it’s just a little bit slow getting into the uh uh in long this final stretch alongside the lake but uh oh I suppose it’s rush hour so you know to be expected but yeah be good to

Annoying so we had to go out and Source One this morning at vast expense but you know that’s the that’s the trouble you forget these things during your holiday you go and Source it locally and you pay the idiot tax for forgetting it but um it’s been a really hot day it’s been
About uh 28 and so thought we’d come and just cool off and it’s um well it’s looking pretty good um we’re on the shores of lake anae and uh so you can see the mountains um we are we’re only an hour’s drive from M Blanc right in the heart of
