So I just received my Endurace CF 7. As you can see on the images, it came with some scratches from the packaging. It’s apparent that another costumer had returned it and didn’t pack it well. It also seems that Canyon themselves didn’t check.

Canyon offered me (a whopping!!!) 60$ refund for the damage as they are “only cosmetics”. I’m actually surprised they offer such a low refund for a 2.500$ bike, because the scratches are very visible, and plenty (I’ve not added pictures of all the scratches). Also the equipment box was opened. So clearly someone didn’t check the box before sending it to another costumer (me). In addition, the shifting has to be adjusted.

Does anyone know how to repair the scratches on a matte colour? And how much it costs?

And has anybody else gotten this kind of treatment from Canyon? I’m actually surprised that such a big company and name lowballs their costumers this way.

That’s concerning! Was the bike it wrapped up in foam and plastic like they show in the build videos?

  2. I assume they offered either a replacement, or the 60 dollars. No way I’d accept that damage. Return for a replacement / refund, no questions asked.

  3. Was this a new bike or you buy it discounted from their outlet? If it’s new, I feel like their return policy should cover it.

But if it’s from their outlet, the buyer unfortunately bears more responsibility for situations like this. Have you tried taking a rag to see if they buff out? If it still looks bad, you should ask him how they recommend you repair it, otherwise that $60 makes no sense

$60 off a $2500 bike is laughable. Return it. Out of curiosity, how long did you have to wait for this to arrive?
