The life to come when the Lord Jesus has returned for his church as we shall learn in today’s studies amen amen amen so we can move into our questions question one says well why is the Lord not being slow about his promise of coming again as some people may think

He’s going to come right we know that he’s going to come um and he’s not be long about it as you may say actually he loves us that’s it and he wants he doesn’t want anyone to perish he he doesn’t desire that anyone perishes that’s it so until the gospel

Sacrificed his only begotten son yeah yeah amen perish amen okay question two say well how is the second coming of the Lord described vers 10 I think this is a very famous bible vers isn’t it verses 10 tells us says but the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as
A thief then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise and the Very elements themselves will disappear in Fire and the Earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment so he will come unexpectedly as a thief yeah that’s what I yeah because I don’t think anyone expect
Ative on a particular time nope and a particular day nope in that case it’s like who loses are they you think they’re going to come when you know that oh yeah they said it’s 4:30 tomorrow so 4:30 tomorrow your belongings that you know that they are coming for will not
Be in the house and secondly for your safety you you you make sure you cover all angles yeah for instance if there is a haste and they know that wherever they going this is their time this is their target they will cover all angles that’s it and therefore the teeth will but you
Don’t know when the t is coming in no you can go home you can go to work and you come back then there’s a Burgery in your house you may be as you by surprise they may be asleeping there but they might doing that time isn’t it all I
Believe the scripture is telling it’s going to take us by surprise that’s it because a thousand years like we’ve read is like a day him and a day so when you experting oh they said he coming he never comes it could be now it could be the next minute it could be tomorrow

Listening to um someone who just just he does Bible commentary and he made a very interesting analogy um so he said when he was young M um he and his little sister over the summer holidays will be left home uh on a day-to-day basis cuz
His parents had to go to work and they were old enough to be able to be left home but you weren’t just being left home to just play and you know just be Idol you had chores to do you know there were dishes to wash there was a floor
That needed cleaning and sweeping There Was You know the trash had to be taken out there’s a few things you still need to do right now here’s the thing we all know that maybe your parents work 9 to 5 right anytime after 5:00 p.m. they could
Turn show could be 5 on the door could be at 9:00 p.m. cuz there was traffic but they will show up regardless right and you have things that you should have been doing the whole time you can’t wait up until the very end and then expect to
Be able to do everything at once it’s not possible right there are some things that you’re supposed to do and you’re supposed to take your your time MH to do them throughout the day so that by the time that they do come back you’re relaxed right and to him that was his
Analogy with regards to Godliness and waiting for God that because he is going to return right we’ve been tasked with being Godlike or Christlike apologies right we’ve been tasked with being Christlike and the way um our introduction started it started with physical exercise is very good right godliness is spiritual exercise so we
Consistently exercising ourselves spiritually we making sure that we’re spiritually fortified we’re strong right because a time will come that that strength will be needed elsewhere in the heavens right when we go and we spend time with God for an eternity that’s our spirit needs to be at the point where
You know it can it can endure let’s put it way it’s not enduring in a bad way but you you you have you’ve been exercising your spirit the whole time to be with the father forever for that and so so you and you can’t do that at the
Very end you know there’s people who might say well yeah I’m going to I’m going to enjoy my life for as long as I’m I I I I wish to and then when I think I’m at the verge of death I’m going to repent and ask God for
Forgiveness and then well what was the point then mhmh cuz if you did not enjoy what God who God is whilst you were here do you really think you’re going to enjoy it then like let’s let’s let’s let’s be realistic you know let’s you you you’ve not enjoyed God for what he
Can do right you’ve not Eno enjoyed God for who he is whilst you’re here on Earth in the midst of all the miserableness right and you and you think like how are you actually even going to Value it like I I I can’t I wouldn’t be able to yeah um I can’t talk
For what the spirit really feels like when it will eventually encounter God but let us be realistic about the things that we want to achieve we want to achieve a place in heaven or want to achieve a place in eternity with God so the works Starts Now mhm we want to get
To know the father now right because a time will come that terrible things will happen on this Earth and if not for our godliness we will really struggle at that time because um if you read other in other places of the Bible it tells us about the terrible things that will
Happen will happen on earth right it will say it says that it is the this is the sign of birth pains you know terrible things will happen on our Earth and if it’s not for our godliness or our strive for christlikeness it will be very hard to stand in those times yeah
Right when things get difficult that is when you should have the exercise the spiritual exercise that you have been doing the whole time come become valuable because you can’t expect your faith to be increased in the midst of an earthquake that’s not when you want your
Faith to increase you want your faith to an increase before that so that in the midst of the earthquake you put it to work right and so it’s it’s it’s a thing that you start from now don’t wait till it’s too late and you never know when
It’s going to be too late so just start from now just start from now and it benefits us as Christians or as children of God to uh uh work our godliness right it benefits us because every day new challenges are being thrown at us once
You choose to be Godly that is when the challenges intensify right so it works it actually even works in our favor that we we continue working our godliness amen amen yeah and more or less just to add to that yeah see the things that it did mention in Ephesians 5:3 yeah that they
Were not expecting you to do yeah sexual immorality drug addiction and all that you see all those ones have consequences yeah so more or less when you leave an OBS life of that a Christlike Behavior you get the benefit or you you don’t indulge in those negative rewards that
Those ones gives you so in as much as you have a spiritual benefit you have a physical benefit because you are not indulging yourself in something that will end you in a short period of time yeah yeah I think we’ve already moved into question five which is uh in which
Ways that God as godliness benefit us in this present life which is no thank you very much because it seems we are in the spirit we’re moving with where the word is taking us so in yeah so in this present life where does godliness you
Know how does it benefit us and as you said you know there are some behaviors that do not serve any purpose they do not edify us they do not add any value to our day-to-day lives right uh if you’re young and you think well this is
The time that I can go and experiment and do all sorts of uh all sorts of things actually you want to re-evaluate that because that is time wasted that time could have been learned spent learning a skill that time could have been spent uh um volunteering and helping maybe an orphanage maybe you
Want to help widows maybe you want to help a charity maybe you want to help Society in any way shape or form the time that you think you could have spent experimenting sexually or experimenting with drugs or experimenting in any way that doesn’t glorify God quite it could
Have been used to glorify God and the benefit may not necessarily even be to you but it may be to the next person that you’re helping and as Christians that’s the kind of people we want to be we want to be people who are beneficial
To the people around us the the theme of the year is reposition in our local church for Maximum Impact and if we are to make Maximum Impact then at every point in time we need to make sure that the decisions we’re making right they do not conform to the patterns of the world
But they glorify God and so the benefits of godliness you know now is that you help the people around you right that you help the people around you that’s what I that’s the way I see it at least yeah that’s it yeah and uh a last bit I
Would also like to add on to this in terms of the benefits of godliness is you know as Christians sometimes we need to be careful and mindful about how our behavior Can up can um impact on other people’s relationship with God MH you don’t want to be doing something or
Indulging in something and you think oh no one sees me but they do and because you’re doing it someone else is now questioning their position with God maybe they they they they they become attracted to what you’re doing they think well if you’re able to juggle God
And juggle this kind of lifestyle that maybe I can do it too well that may be the end of them that may not be the end of you but that may be the end of them and so we need to always be mindful that as Christians when we say we are the
Light of the world that means that we are the role models of the world right because there’s a light that is is is is is shining from within us people see us we are being highlighted let’s put it that way right and if you’re being highlighted your every little action is
Being scrutinized and your every little action is being emulated by someone so we really want to be careful about how we go about behaving and making godliness our number one Paramount um Paramount thing that we would like to achieve amen amen amen so uh we may want
To move into the conclusion um shall I read that okay says the reason for the Lord’s seeming delay in return for his people is his great patience and desire that none should perish but all should reach repentance that not withstanding when the set time is complete the Lord shall

Negative happened to us that same day that same day but what God took us through he amazes me and where we are today I can only give glory to God and finally I just want to say God has been so good to me this year J Mar my wife
Asked me what’s our plan for the year and I said let’s let’s leave it to God I’ve got nothing but I thank God I left it to God cuz the things that has happened to me the skill set that through the church I’ve been able to acquire I could have never dreamed of
And one thing I want encourage everyone especially the youth here is that if our leaders or anybody ask you to do something please do it with good faith because Apostle when he was leaving asked me to do something and my close friends know I did it for him and that

Amen then going to the end which is this year thank God it was this year but this year that one was more than back to back from one frine to the other but thank God I did not fall in the Fire because from July I came I finished my last placement came back home well I came back from Ghana that week or the two weeks I left food on the fire small Sauce on fire from 10 9 10 there I thought i’ turn it off woke up at four could smell something went literally B if it was not God who would this be where would me and my family would have because we were all in the house August
Flood in the house if you go home check your ceiling the only hole that you got in your house is where the light is coming from that is where the water was just pouring in my in the living room it was pouring it was my daughter who woke up
At 5 to say mommy the shower is on I went with confused.com my brains were all like from sleep when check the water is not on but you can hear the sound of water pouring went straight downstairs nothing thinking just went downstairs went outside like water in

Through this you will not believe it I finish my disertation the disseration that gave me sickness 6,000 words I’ve written it the grace of God bam pass then the last last last final assignment which was it’s two part presentation and rating the wrting is only, words the presentation grace of God 85
84% but the Thousand Words Failed then I wrote it again because you have to go through the feedback wrote it again again fil thousand words said God me I have no one it’s only you that I had and with me I start knowing my head and it looks like I predict stuff I start early so the
Next one they gave us because it’s the last assignment they gave us the third option the third submission then the 24th of September another attack which in mares because on my son again where he ended only God who P him through then thank God I have already started the assignment I’m containg this
Lecturer on fale so the last day we got to lectures the last day I was like Madam I’ve been contacting you but you’re not responding to me and she was like oh Deborah I’m in my mind I was like so you know me we went through it

To deliver us or redeem Fallen Humanity from from sin his birth is the Heart of Christmas and it is time for us to always reflect on the significance of why Christ Jesus came into the world it’s always very important for us to know that indeed the Privileges and
The peace the joy that we have and we enjoy is not the same everywhere in some nations in some places sometimes even our own Nation uh you realize that that joy that peace we enjoy is not something uh that others enjoy as I speak to you there is Wars still waging in Many
