Cycling the world – Europe: episode 53
I was asked to test ride the South by Cycle Bikepacking Trail ahead of route publication. The South by Cycle is a bikepacking and biketouring trail as its name suggest ride through the very south of Finland from Kouvola in the eastern part (getting very close to the Russian border) to Hanko on the weastern side via Helsinki the capital city. I have ridden the first half from Kouvola to Helsinki and this is about day 1 from Kouvola to Sippola where I stayed at the Antares Art centre for the night ( https://www.galleriaantares.fi ).

Ciao Davide, grazie per il video 🙂 Vivo a Helsinki da qualche anno e non vedo l'ora di percorrere le tracce South by cycle appena finisce l'inverno. Sono passato da quelle parti in direzione opposta a luglio, prima della presentazione del progetto. Ho viaggiato da Helsinki fino al lago Saimaa e poi tutto a nord fino a Rovaniemi. I thought in a book I read years ago, Finland was a bit boring, flat with endless miles of pine trees. Things got far more exciting in Norway, but yeah looks like nice off road cycling.

why did you load the bike so heavy in the front and why no proper read rack ?
In soft gravel a heavy front is not pleasant.
Next time in the sauna try the traditional Finish body slapping with juniper branches 😉
Do you use a gimbal for your camera? How do you mount it?
