FWIW, that practice risks banning all bikes inside grocery/(clothing) stores. Folks put their food/(clothing) products in carts and consider bikes (greasy, road grime, sometimes wet) to be to unsanitary/dirty for shopping carts. I was turned away a couple times (using Brompton’s shopping cart mode) – management told me they had to implement the ‘no-bikes’ policy after a few customers complained of folding bikes in carts.
I’d stick to Brompton’s shopping cart mode, or even the lower tray on most carts (yours doesn’t have one).
