Hello everyone hope you’re all safe and well and the reason for this video is because we got more testing indoors this time we’re going to be doing uh run test today and then we’re going to be doing run test on Wednesday Friday and we also going to be doing a bike test Wednesday
As well so going to be a big few days but let’s cue the intro never die going to make it to the finish right here no we survive even if we crawl to the finish line I will believe it under dream don’t in your cheers world going to say and heroes
Never die going to make it to The you I’ll be love you but you got to be there for me Too so the first day of testing first off it was getting in a nice bath and then um getting on the treadmill for a 25 minute run so the 15- minute I bath was pretty horrible it was around 8° and then outside it was even colder so it was 5°
Outside and yeah it just wasn’t pleasant so then on the treadmill um change Paces so started off with a 10 minute warm up then 3 minutes at 8 K an hour then 6 minutes at 12 K an Hour 3 minutes again at 8 K an hour and
Then the last 6 minutes at 16 K an hour not too bad I mean um doing it the first time my legs did feel a bit weird and my body was like what the hell are you doing getting a ice bath and then running it’s just not something I’m used
To anyway we got it done so um moving on to the next one nearly come up to 11 minutes so after this next blood sample 3 minutes and then you’re done only hear you whisper I’ll be love you but you got to be there for me Too you got be there me the So day two of testing which was on a Wednesday so obviously I didn’t say before it was Monday Wednesday Friday so Wednesday again 15 minute ice bath it felt a lot easier than what it did the first time which which was all right I guess still really uncomfortable but we had to
Get it done then straight on the treadmill for another 25 minute run similar um well pretty much the same put the oxygen mask on um put heart rate monitor on this time as well just to monitor well what my heart rate was doing and it was pretty low it didn’t
Really go above the 150s for the 16ks an hour so pretty happy with that um but yeah moving on on to the last day now blood is coming out been waiting for That Been W you whisper I’ll be love you but you got to be there for me Too so the last day which was on a Friday yeah this was just sitting for 15 minutes and then getting on the treadmill so obviously not having the ice bath was pretty nice but also um getting on the treadmill I well sweated a lot more and it felt a lot harder um I
Was looking looking at my heart rate quite a bit just comparing it to what it was last time and this time it got into the 160s so I was pretty interested in that and also in any of the tests I wasn’t really bleeding um so that was a
Big issue so I couldn’t really monitor my lact tape but what I could monitor was my heart rate how I felt um I didn’t really go above well seven or eight on the um how hard it was um and that was one of the lowest so yeah all in all
Pretty good and to finish this video and to top it all off so do I think cold water has an effect on uh training or racing so as most of you know I guess you do ice baths after training not before because well you could get
Injured but to be honest I did see a big difference in how cold water effective performance and my heart rate was very low but it took me a longer time to get going and my legs were just like very stiff when I started running as well they should be um we
Comparing it to just sitting down for 15 minutes and getting on the treadmill that felt a lot easier but then again my heart rate was a lot higher without the cold water so I don’t know what I’d rather prefer to be honest but um in my opinion
I prefer not going in the cold water and going in the cold water after training which is more pleasant well no it’s not pleasant at all in any way after training or before um but yeah um unfortunately my lactate didn’t really um play any effect because I couldn’t bleed
