  1. Also, the H-limit screw is not adjusting the derailleur a lot, only the first 10% of the function of the screw is adjusting the derailleur position

  2. Front derailleurs can be hard to set up without using a barrel adjuster. The cable is in a lot of tension and it’s hard to get it up by pulling the cable as tight as possible. Do you have a barrel adjuster?

Unwind the L and H screws so these aren’t interfering with the shifting. You’ll want to adjust these after the chain is installed. Keep the shifter on the slackest setting (pulling the least cable). Make sure the barrel adjuster is screwed all the way in. Pull the cable as tight as possible with pliers, secure the clamp, then shift to the top position and unwind the barrel adjuster until it’s sufficiently outboard.

Also, double check that the cage itself isn’t hitting the big ring.

  3. It looks like the cable clamp bolt sticking out is hitting the head of the ‘H’ screw. Could just be an optical illusion.
