Normal. Freecoasters do not act like cassette unless you want the Profile Z coaster which will give you the crank flip you want.

That’s mostly how freecoasters work, they work on a friction engagement system so crank flips aren’t as straight forward. Personally I’m not a fan of crank flips each to their own though! Higher end fcoaster hubs including the increasingly more popular freenight internal coaster/cassettes work better for crank flips.
