Hi all!

Replaced the rear tire on my e-bike today.
All went well, but unfortunately I can’t get the nut back on.
Looks like the thread is stripped.

The nut won’t, go on. It keeps spinning.

I’ve got a rear wheel motor.

How f’d am I?
I think replacing the axle isn’t an option, because it’s part of the motor.

Is there a way to restore the thread or something?
Wat would you guys do?

Thanks in advance!

  1. You can try to clean the threads up use a wire brush maybe a pick find out what thread pitch and size the nut is pick up a couple of them at the hardware store or a bike shop and try to thread it on also depending on the manufacturer and if you have a shop nearby, willing to do it, you could have the axle replaced but that’s a big if I have a friend in LA that will do work like this as long as he can get the parts so it’s possible
