I’m currently having a Surly Bridge Club built by a local bikeshop; my first travel-gravel bike. Expecting it to be finished in january. And ofcourse I’m going to take it on loads of gravelrides here in the Netherlands. I have experience with some longer biketouring holidays in Europe (500 km, 400 km and 1000 km).

I’m also planning to go to Sweden this summer for a nice long bikepacking adventure. During my research I came across [the Sormland Project](https://bikepacking.com/routes/sormland-project/) (352 miles / 566 km) and also [the Swede Divide – The LOOP 2021](https://grvl.se/033-swede-divide-the-loop/) (795 km / 493 miles). Looking at distance and my wish to cycle around 10 or 11 days, the Swede Divide looks promising.

Has anyone here experience with this route or the area? Could this be a good route for a first bikepacking adventure?

I’ll be riding with 2 back panniers and 2 smaller fork bags, Smart Sam tires 28×42. So not a completely minimal bikepacking setup.

Thanks and I’m looking forward to start bikepacking / gravelpacking!
