In case you’re looking to increase your 1x range, here’s another combination of parts I haven’t seen used before.
My Grizl was originally 2×10 GRX400. Swapped to a single ring up front using the same crank, then installed a Microshift Advent 11-48 10 speed cassette. I bought a GRX812 rear derailleur, plus a Garbaruk GRX cage and pullies. All of the GRX components work together…same derailleur pull, whether it’s 10 or 11 speed. Since my brifters are 10 speed, it moves the 812 derailleur over 10 gears. And the Microshift cassette is aaaaalmost Eagle range, but only $60 and 425g for the version with an alloy spider.
The 812 derailleur and Garbaruk parts were all on Ebay. Between a chainring, cassette, derailleur, and Garbaruk components, I’ve got about $300 into the conversion. And everything works as well as stock, IMO.

I’m going to guess your tolerance for noise and clank and mine are not the same. +1 for creativity though.
I’m a little confused why you didn’t just use a road or goat link to clear the largest cog, it would have been significantly easier. I’m glad this worked out for ya.
