Got a used bike for a good price, but it is quite scratched up. Can I just lightly sand down the old glossy paint and pain over it, Or do I have to completely remove the old paint with paint remover??

Ride it as is. Year from now you’ll like the look of it. I ripped off similar chunks on my Niner Air-9 RDO chainstay. I also drove it into my house when on top of my car. My bike survived & fckd up the roof of my car. The bike, myself & my car have scars. Embrace it.
