Failed 2nd grade pencil salesman Mr. E requests that you join him on his final Turkey leg before he enters Greece by ferry. It’s been a transformative month, and even though E doesn’t show it in this video, Turkey gave your impressionable old friend one hell of a good time.

NB: Mr. E will NOT be in Turkey for Thanksgiving. Missed opportunity if you ask me, but your man wanted to keep on moving.

Take it away, Mr. E!

Thanks. Here’s a way to make some quick cash over the holiday season. Head over to missingmoney.com and select a state where you’ve lived or done business. Then enter your name to see if you have any unclaimed treasure. Maybe you moved from one apartment to another and your utility or cable refund didn’t get forwarded to you. Those companies are required to provide this information to the state, and each state keeps a directory of all such unclaimed cash.

Not all states participate in missingmoney.com (including California and New York), so if your state is not in the dropdown menu on missingmoney.com, visit https://unclaimed.org/search/ where you will find all US states and Canadian provinces listed.

And if you don’t see your own name, search for your friends or relatives (including—maybe especially—deceased relatives) and have them buy you some beer for helping them claim their missing money (does not apply to the deceased relatives).

E-ditor’s note: In my experience, street dogs are rather docile, regardless of country or continent. If they are aggressive, yelling, making yourself appear larger, and putting something between you and the dog are all usually enough. As an extreme measure, reaching down to pick up a rock (or pretending to anyway) can be enough to ward off a pugnacious pooch. I think the reason I have had so many encounters with dogs on this trip is that I surprise the dogs when I’m cycling fast—to them I appear out of nowhere, so if I know there are dogs around (or even when I suspect there could be) I try to make a little noise, the same way I do when trekking in Alaska to alert the street bears. Whenever possible I dismount, and this almost always deescalates the situation.
