This morning I was over on the Belfast Ormeau road. My old mate Billy McCutcheon was sticking a new chain on to my 23 year old Honda VT600 motorbike. ( I could do it myself but it’s a pain to do especially with no side stand. So why ‘kill myself’, when Billy can do it for me, for a good price. I am 70 you know! )
Anyway while Billy was doing the chain I took myself for a dander down the road towards the Ormeau Bridge. Imagine my surprise as I passed the Belfast Bicycle Workshop and Michael who works there, called after me, about watching my wee Youtube channel! He told me that his boss Austin also watches my vids!
Naturally I immediately thought the lads deserved a video, ‘shout out’, on the channel, so in I goes to have a wee yarn on film. Welcome to the world of bicycles!! ( Another thing I know next to nothing about! )
If you have a tired or broken bicycle that needs fixing these two friendly, helpful, guys are the ones to do it.
Check them out at Belfast Bicycle Workshop Ormeau Road.
Many thanks to the guys! What a fun morning!

Hi Tom, this is the same Mike from Minsk, but I've changed my YouTube name to display in the Latin script from Cyrillics.
Wow, a brand new video about bikes from you! Just yesterday I shared your channel with another friend of mine from the UK, who is into all things bikes. I referred him to your playlist, because you haven't posted any bike video for a while, an then here it comes! Coincidentally, my friend's name will be Austin and he does bike repairs. He lives in a village near Bristol though. Maybe you've run into the "Scudo Camper, Not Just Camping" or "Westcountry Vlogs" channels, that will be him. Years ago he did collabs with one "Rickvanman" and got a huge traction on those videos.

What a coincidence Tom. I've been to two bike shops in Belfast last week for the first time in 20 odd years as I'm rebuilding my old bike!
Thanks Tom Mc Clean, what a surprise to see you passing by the shop today.
Hi Tom, for my 13th birthday my parents gave me a new matellic red Royal Lion bicycle made in England. I sure was happy and I still have it but the sun faded it into a light pink colour. I slept with it in the garage the first night….. LOL. Thanks Tom
Great wee shop…..very interesting…..I ❤️ old bikes.
Hi Tom, great video. Good to chat to you today. Maybe see around Titanic again sometime. Merry Christmas.
Hi Tom good video as usual
True legends of the community and full of good craic whenever you pop in. So helpful and aren't there just to rip you off and can fix all issues no bor.
I really think there needs to be a massive awareness campaign around cycling proficiency particularly around Belfast. Basics like having the correct lights at night for a start. The amount of cyclists particularly but not exclusively non-nationals, deliveroo riders etc I see coming home at night with no lights, pulling out between cars in darkness and cycling between too close to pedestrians, lorries and buses is ridiculous. I'm amazed there aren't more fatalities. If I drove at night with no lights in my car the PSNI would rightfully pull me over and give me 3 points and a nice fine. But cyclists rarely get pulled.
Hi Tom, I’m not too interested in bicycles, but I enjoyed seeing that part of the Ormeau Road, and indeed the house that used to be our family Drs surgery. He was so well liked by our family that we travelled from north Belfast to see him, and he actually came to us too if needed. The good old days!! 😊
Hello Tom , that was brilliant takes me back i remember my first real two wheeler it was a Raleigh Hercules with a 3 speed Sturmey Archer gears remember the little chain that came out the side , well thats where all started for me then the motorcycles on to the cars 🙂 always had to pull them apart fix them . Those bike shops are a thing of the past I am sure they do really well thank for showing us that .
Great video Tom, takes me back to my biking day's to work as a 15 year old in the bakery setting of at 4.30 in the morning, Bempton to Bridlington every day including Sundays for 6 years, LOL, the lads have a good business there they won't be short of work.
