So I currently own a 2012 Salsa Vaya I got from my brother. I knew some parts needed to be swapped, as they are pretty old.
Cool bike. I planned a on taking it touring, and took it to a bike shop to get a quote on how much it would be to replace some parts.
Well basically the whole drivetrain with the exception of a few parts needs to be replaced. They’re giving me a quote tomorrow but ballpark is $500-600.
I figured for that price I could just buy a used bike that’s already meant for touring.
Found this GT Peace Tour (2011/2012?) that appears to be in good condition with good components, and already set up for touring.
Thoughts?
