Hey guys, im new to the sub and I actually hate riding bikes, but my kid has been wanting to go to the local skatepark and I have to go with him. Im a single dad so im looking to try and score on some of this single mom action. I don’t want to look like some dweeb soccer dad that’s only there for the enjoyment of my child, but someone who has been through the ropes and can actually “crank a nasty bus driver out of the fuckin pool if it wasn’t for my sprained ankle”. I’ve been looking at some of the completes like the cult x huff, but I’m afraid I might come off as a pot addict and I don’t want to be getting the attention from some of the druggie mothers at the skatepark. Can anyone help me find the perfect “poser” bike?? I was told there are many expert posers lurking on the sub and I’m just trying to get ahead of the game since I see so many people just hanging around the fences at my local park anyways I need something that will help me stand out.

For top tier posing at the park you’ll need a $2000 custom build, at minimum. The uglier the color combo the better.
I’d recommend getting a second hand BMX off FB marketplace, then you’ve got the aesthetic that you ‘used to be pro’. The more scratches and dents the better
How about one of the retros like the Pro Performer or a Haro Master
You could always go get like a PK Ripper and just sit on it the whole time talking about how you used to race and these kids don’t know nothing about riding a bike these days. If you happen to throw a number plate on it that would be super tight especially if it’s like #69 or something
You need to find a mint condition eastern element in solid white everything. Old school vibes. Perfectly expensive to the moms in the know, because retro, but perfectly approachable to the hot but poor moms, because eastern.
