just got the roadlite 5. the rear derailleur has a pretty dramatic bend angle away from the bike, I wasn’t sure if this is just how the deore 5100 is or if it got bent in shipping. The gears are not indexed, and the outer limit was pretty shit, but this is my first bike in the mail so I didn’t know if that is normal. I’m pretty comfortable setting those up myself if this angle is not from damage. just finished setting it up, I would say it was finicky and not as smooth as an Acera I just did, but that is not as many rings.
With it adjusted, the closest jockey sits at an angle in comparison to the cassette cogs still.
if you zoom in, you can see the cog close to the cassette is at an angle, closer to the bike towards the front, and flaring away from the bike on the back.

It is normal and how it supposed to be.

It is normal! Friend of mine was too worried and replaced it with a new one and out of the box it was the same. Just check indexing and if it works smoothly- if so, then you good to go. And have a nice rides!
