  1. I would go smaller since I prefer a tight and aero look, but, if you prefer a more loose fitting nothing wrong with that.

Lol wtf is that brand that makes arms that loose, unless your arms are smaller than a kids lmao

  3. Looks like u went for a loose fit. Small shouldn’t be that loose. Go for a different brand. And smaller.

  4. Going smaller won’t fix it. Its the right size – however club fit (also called relaxed fit) jerseys are pretty loose.

If you’re going after the traditional cyclist look you need a “performance fit” or “race fit” style jersey.

Don’t go with the solstice if you’re looking for an aero fit. Go with the circuit. It’s still pretty floppy, unless you go a size down. The rsl is the best in Trek’s line, but any aero gains you’d get would still be limited by your hybrid bike

  6. Several sizes too large. You have to think about what it will be like on the bike. In front of a mirror, that could be a good fit for a normal tshirt, but that fit is so baggy, at speed, the wind is going to go right through you and the fabric is going to be whipping all over the place which is super annoying. A jersey should be fairly tight fit even for a classic (vintage) fit. Also all that extra fabric on the torso is going to be bunched up while you’re in the aero position.

I agree with some of the comments – it looks like the right size but the wrong cut. I totally get where you’re starting – I road a ton on a hybrid before getting deeper into the sport. Do you have a budget in mind for the jersey?

  8. I feel like if you go shorter, it won’t fight length wise

You just need to look for a more “race” like jersey that are more tight fitting

Theres a lot of good brands out there here are some im wearing also for bibs and never had problems

    Santini,castelli,gore wear,odlo,rapha

*edit if youre american and you order from European brands have a look at the sizes and how they measured

  9. I’m 183cm and about 60 odd kg, in the summer I wear a Stolen Goat ‘ibex epic Ss’ jersey. It’s a custom for a club though, so I don’t know if you can purchase it regularly.

  10. Quite loose, and too long at the front – it will flap in the wind and bunch up. Craft has very nice jerseys and their fit seems to be made for tall and slender people. I buy my biking gear on BestSecret, also Decathlon has some good products at affordable prices.

Ultimately, I find having a loose fitting jersey like that pretty comfortable for sitting around or really short rides, but for those things id just wear a cotton t-shirt! Traditional cycling jerseys have back pockets and are made of a wicking material. They are meant to be tight against the skin so that a) things you put in the pockets don’t bounce around/out, b) sweat is transfered from your skin, and c) the material doesn’t flap annoyingly in the wind you create while riding at speed.

Personally, my first jersey fit like that, and even just for the back pockets issue, I can’t justify wearing it ever.
