Cycling the world – Europe: episode 58
Leaving Riga my kneecap got inflamed immediately. I took a a few days off in Jelgava and then headed to Šiauliai in Lithuania where I stopped for a week taking anti-inflammatory drugs and gave a talk to a high school as well as interviews to local media. Once I hit the road in rural Lithuania towards Kaunas I immediately started to experience lots of pain again.

  2. Sorry about your knee, horrible situation. I've had the same problems in the past. Most common cause is a tight itb band. Your going to have to take some time off to sort it out, pressing on might cause some serious damage. Look up cycling knee injuries.

  3. Maybe its best if you fly back home and stay there for a month or two! You could resume your adventures with the warm and beautiful weather ahead and a well rested knee!

I doubt you can truly rest at strangers house etc.
