Croatia is a beautiful country to cycle through. I would advice to keep away from the coast as much as possible though (dont follow the Eurovelo routes). People were super nice and gave me a lot of water – which is much needed at the moment

Croatia is the most beautiful place for cycling, naturally because of the beautiful coast, but also because of the mountains, especially Velebit.

I did a similar route like yours and I loved it.

The lady in the end told you to be careful because the sun will burn your sholders, and she wished that the god may look over you and wished you happiness 🙂

Also, I love the ska music in the background.

  3. Yes, thats true. Inland you can find many refreshing routes away from the crazy coastline in the summer. Enjoy!

  4. I’m going there in the fall. Do you have a gpx of your route you can share?

  5. The coast is great in the winter, you can easily spot dolphins around Karlobag

I followed the entire Eurovelo route through Croatia last week and it was absolutely fantastic. Never busy (except around Rijeka) and stunning views!
