Cycling Ukraine is very different from the rest of Europe. Highway is kind of dangerous, found some tracks of trucks going into the shoulder. Talking about the Ukrainian War, riding past a military training base where there were some posters about it. Dji Spark drone flying over sunflowers. Very bad Ukrainian roads. Diverged from the highway, to some backroads, which was a bad idea, because the hills became very steep and the roads very bad. I had to push my bike up some very steep hills to the point I was covered in sweat. Came across a horse as well. After another bad uphill I made it to my Airbnb apartment in center Lviv.

11:40 your face spoke a 1000 words.
Great vlog though. Good to show the difficult times as well as all the good. Stay safe buddy.
Doesn’t Ukraine have a road department to maintain its roads? 5:42 INSANE!!! Those roads are worse than our reservation roads!
Feeling so bad for you; I hope it improves. Stay safe.
Cool video tice you look shattered have a shave mate epic journey so far remember be safe all the best
Hey, Tice. I use an app sometimes called Europe 3D, it's not perfect but it shows you where those nasty hills are hiding. It's free!. Great vlog 😀
Loved seeing all the sunflowers 🌻…that hill wasn’t a road it was a dirt track mate
6:20 what is the city's name?
Nice scenery but crappy roads. At least nobody has run you over. And you have a place to relax and recover your strength. Oh. By the way Almost 2000 subscribers
That was one tough road. rest up and enjoy. Take care, Al
I knew you would experience this at some point. Ukrainian roads are at times hard work but it’s worth the pain as you’ll look back and think what an amazing experience it was AND want to do it again👍 when I was looking for cyclists who cycled in the wilderness Frans de Friester was one guy who’s YouTube channel i watched. He cycled from Amsterdam through Ukraine, Mongolia and Russia along the road of bones also I think through China. I don’t know if his videos are still on YouTube because this was a while ago now but if so check them out. I watched those many years before your channel started but I was younger then and my goal was just to head off on a bicycle, tent, cooker, sleeping bag and camera but that was 2006 unfortunately I got run over when cycling back home from work and spent many months in hospital so that plan had to be put back by many years. But it will happen and if I get run over again, then… well… that will be a bummer😂🤣 I’m getting a bit deep now… the thing is life is a one way ticket and so if there’s something you want to do but keep putting it off it’ll never happen. I’ve never broken anything in my life or injured myself even though when I was a young man I was a little risk taker but one day I get hit by a car and severe brain injury and epilepsy to deal with and I then thought to myself… bugger, I knew I should have jumped on my bike and just done it✌️I’ll keep you up to date with my trike travels next year, maybe I’ll do a YouTube channel, raise some money for people who have epilepsy🤔 we’ll see. Looking forward to see how many more dodgy roads you’ve got to ride on but stay safe and watch out for the hounds😂🤣 lots of abandoned dogs in Ukraine👍✌️
Tice , I'm so appreciative of what you show us , I feel for you I'm very familiar with traffic like what your seeing , if is enough to make you jumpy , rear view mirror is a must and it helps soooooo much doesn't it , I wish I could do what you are doing or at least experience it , it's great how you show us the good and the not so good , there are times in this video I was feeling sick to my stomach not the hills per say but the feeling of where the hell am I ! You're doing this solo , the one thing I guarantee you is these tough days and this part of the trip is what you'll brag about to your grandchildren some day , be safe out there .
I don't know if you will ride from Cracow to Prague on bike but if you do you need to prepare yourself for REALLY steep hills, like the south of Poland is basically mountains so be careful and good luck! 🙂
I feel ya mate. There are some roads here in Japan where I'm like "WTF, this is what my map considers a road???" One thing I notice is that roads that have lots of sharp twists and turns are usually roads that go up steep hills because they tend to wind up and down the mountains and I confirm it by looking at the satellite or aerial view in Google maps or Bing. But its those terrible roads that make those lasting memories, am i right? 😉
before world war all that was a Polish lands, and Lwów (Lviv) was 1 of main city in Poland 🙁 i think they didint done nothing after war…. its f***ign sad what comunism have done :/
It just breaks my heart see all this 🙁 especialy that i'm from Kraków and Lwów its like sister city 🙁
anyway good luck m8 ! 🙂 i like watchign your trip !

Holy Gravel!
Hope you've recovered…other than the pain you showed…the scenes you did capture were really great. ..thanks Tice…stay safe.
Wow… what a day you had there! But you made it, Tice! 👍👍👍 I think you'll smile later on when you're somewhere else and think of this day… and it makes you stronger mentally and physically! But I know the feeling! Thanks so much for your incredible videos and inspiring, Tice! Enjoy comfort and a cool new place the next couple of days!
One word… DAM… ;D
Awesome drone shots!!! 🙂
Je hebt aardig wat voor je "kiezen" gekregen maar goed gedaan. Ga zo lekker verder maar geniet er vooral van.
6:39 Polish catholic church confiscated by Ukrainians for ortodox…In Wołyń region ukrainians 1943 burn down 1000 Polish viliges and killed 80 thosents people…You driving bike over Polish bodies…If you put tent somewhere be aware maybe were Polish villages people burried there many bodies were thrown to wells…..
GPS has led you to the middle of nowhere, but still there're roads to blame )
Come on! grow up and accept your own mistakes
what does not kill you makes you stronger in Ukraine (for example, roads). We will be waiting for you again😀
I Love your vlog man, thanks for this amazing vlog.
Wow, just wow. I've just discovered your channel and i have to say, these videos are the best, mate! I have been to Ukraine myself and hope to get back there pretty soon. Btw, ben je Nederlands?
