    THE BIKE’S JOURNAL | A cycling story from the Netherlands to Indonesia



    From April 2018 to February 2019, Marlies and Diego cycled from the Netherlands to Indonesia to see everything in between their home cities.

    They cycled through 23 countries in 332 days.

    I don’t know what to write here in this description section. I’m just going to write something long, so, it looks like a proper film description. Well, I could write about the plot of the film but I tend to spoil things every time I tell stories. And I know you don’t want to have any spoilers before you watch a film, do you? Besides, there’s not much plot for me to tell about.

    So, I hope you enjoy the film.

    Oh, by the way, I’m the bike.

      It was indeed a great experience you had doing all the way from your cozy netherlands home to Indonesia. It was very interesting to watch your video and empathise with your situations and experience your feelings sitting in the comfort of our homes. What really struck a chord is your summing up of the adventure with a dose of beautiful philosophy that is marvelous and very enlightening. God bless you with long life and best of every thing and above all strong will to carry on with another adventure of your life time. Because, as you mentioned, we are the moments and we should enjoy the same. Journey is the destination and destination is the journey..

      We just saw your movie in Tirana! We just happened to walk by when the movie started and thought we’d just sit down for a few minutes to see what it was about. We ended up watching the whole movie. Absolutely incredible! Very well put together and especially the end was very touching. Not just a fascinating journey, but also a great reminder to trust the kindness of strangers and to live in the moment. Thank you!🤗

      Someone said that a good story is one that, after hearing it, you are not the same person anymore. Your movie and narrative leave the receiver with reflective remarks about life that need to be thought over. I really enjoyed watching your story.

      Just previously watched a video about cycling from UK to Australia. Kinda dissapointed that it skipped indonesia altogether. But then i was delighted to see that there's a similar story brought by my own kind of people.
