I have had this Carrera Vengeance by Halfords for 4 months now and it has been riddled with issues since the first month or so.
1. The gear-down shifter fell off
2. Gears are jumping and not locking into place
3. Brakes are locking up
It has already had one repair by Halfords and it will probably need a full service in the coming weeks… too bad I do not make enough to get a bike from Himiway.
I would still like to do long-distance rides but I will not do it on anything from Halfords, and I have been looking at road bikes from Orbea. So far, the kind of distances I have in mind do vary, and include, Eastbourne (25km), Rye (25km), Folkestone (75km), Dover (88km), London (131km), Manchester (489km), and the Scottish Highlands (1198km).
