This was a nice tour through London Heathrow International Airport Terminal 2, and there are plenty of eateries and shops! Good to know they have a shower and rest area and also a prayer room, very accommodating. Whew, good thing you checked that your flight was boarding earlier! I ate at that wonder tree for breakfast when I had my flight on Icelandair to Iceland then to Washington Dulles.
You should go to Terminal 5 which is the largest of the Terminals. Terminal 2 looks very similar to Terminal 3. I use to use Terminal 4. I have not been there for a long time. I wonder what it looks like now.
If you want reasonable food at a reasonable price, locate a Weatherspoon's, that would be your best bet.
As us Brits know them, the McDonalds of the Pub / Bar trade, and there are loads about.
Have heard they are at Heathrow, but failing that, there is one at Victoria (Currently closed for renovation), and St Pancras, at the Thameslink end of the station, also close to Boots (Pharmacy items plus other things). Marks And Spencers Food, and Greggs (Food).
This new Terminal 2 is very modern as it's only 8 years old. The old one was in a terrible state as it was 60 years old.
