Hey – Im old and getting back into riding bmx. Mostly will be trails. I want to get my son out there and ride with me. other than pedalling around with his friends, hes never actually ridden. hes 12, but small. around 4’8” and 80lbs. im looking at the [Stay Strong Interceptor Junior](https://us.sourcebmx.com/products/stay-strong-inceptor-18-5-jr-bmx-bike). At $215 on sale, that seems reasonable to me bc Im not sure he will get into it, so dont want to spend alot. It has an 18.5” TT but on 20” wheels. I think for his size, that should be a good start. and with the 20” wheels, if he gets into it and outgrows the frame I can swap the rest of the parts over to a new frame.
does this sound like a good plan? or any other recommendations on what direction I should go?
