Of course, there is a lot of history in France, and Grenoble is no exception. So here’s a bike tour of Grenoble’s most modern and recently built neighborhood.
hello, nice quick tour of the modern district. "Greffe en colère" refers to "greffiers" who are clerks or assistants working in the judiciary system. It's an understatement to say that the french justice system is underfunded, it ranks extremely low in the european charts and greffiers suffer from it. I must say i have yet to discover a beautiful modern neighborhood in France, "modern" being subjective as an aesthetics point of view but here in Lille they have tried to create some new neighborhoods with medium to small sized structures, with a "green / sustainable" twist, but it's very much underwhelming and the large apartment buildings apart from their overall shapes really don't fit in old cites or amongst brick houses streets.
The polygone scientific wants to reflect its advance in technology and research in its architecture. By the way the Gresivaudan valley (valley between Grenoble and Chambery) is considered to be the Silicon valley of France. Kind of California … hehehe.

The synchrotron (ESRF) is not a nuclear collider; it generates intense X-rays.
Next to it is a nuclear reactor called ILL, which generates neutrons.

People drive really fast it seems
Apparently there's no shortage of butt-ugly "modern" buildings worldwide. I much prefer that San Bruno neighborhood architecture.
