All the damages happened where the cardboard comes in contact with the frame:
The first and biggest damage is located at the right side of the headtube where the handlebar was folded and resting with a protective cardboard against the frame.
The second damage is located at the right corner of the bottom back fork close to the derailleur where the cardboard also was touching the frame.
I believe these damages were the result of friction while the bike was inside the box and moving, and it has damaged the clear coat and paint of the frame. The scratches are very noticeable and extremely unpleasing. I don’t believe they compromised the frame structurally but there is no way to know for sure by me.
This is really discouraging and puts a major dent on Canyon’s reputation. I hope this is an isolated incident.
I would like to know how is Canyon going to Handle this remedy, and I would like to confirm this is a new bike and not a refurbished one. Mistakes can happened but this needs attention from Canyon’s part as soon as possible.

Ok some people post this stuff and I wonder what they’re talking about. But unfortunately your damage looks pretty bad. I would demand a return and exchange.
Unacceptable. I am saving for a new bike and joining this sub has turned me off canyon I will not go with anyone but prob Trek or some other brand. I like the look of a trek domane.
