I got this bike a while back and it’s way too small for me. I know that Steve Potts is a pretty legendary pioneer of mountain biking and I would rather give the bike a good new home to someone who will appreciate it. I just have no idea whatsoever of the value or what to ask for it. Any advice is appreciated. It’s all original parts and hasn’t been ridden ever basically.

Not sure off hand, but that’s s valuable bike IMO in terms of historic significance. You can contact a few ppl on Instagram ( like Second Spin for instance) and ping them. Make sure it gets into the right hands, it’s really cool.

Dang. This is pretty sweet. Steve Potts is one of the OG mountain bikers from the Bay Area, California. He’s probably one of the first people to ever build a MTB, and definitely one of the main actors in originally popularizing the sport.
This is super cool. I see these come through the shop every now and again, and Steve Potts’ bikes do not last long. Finding a buyer shouldn’t be difficult depending on your location.
I’ve seen old Potts’ go everywhere from $400 to $1000 in different conditions. Not only is this bike *old* its in amazing condition and I’ve never seen a stem like that painted to match.
This is dope. Very unique. And in wonderful condition. No idea what you could get for it, but I’m sure there is a group of people somewhere who would fight over it. Roll it in to your LBS and see what they think. If you could get this thing to the bay are, even better. There are tons of old heads out here who would love to get their hands on it.
