Both offer good performance but the axon weighs more and is pricier than than machete both are within budget. I normally do cross country trails not exactly the best at technical terrain im more of a marathon guy I’ve only been riding for a year or so. The machete has 32mm stanchions and uses oil with their abs system with a remote lockout but still quick release and weighs about 1800 grams while the axon comes with 34mm stanchions low speed compression and is in boost spacing wieghs about 1900 grams and uses a grease system with their forks. Im just gonna ride it through some off-road rocky terrain in the Philippines nothing crazy. Both fit the budget of 16k php with the Manitou about 14k (300-350$ give or take)
