This driver was playing a game, I think called Mr Autofire. It’s clear to me that he knew he was doing wrong going by how quickly he put his phone away.

Seen so many people on their phones this morning on the a31 in my truck. If Ive had a passage I’d of got them to record every single one of them. The hold up was an overturned car. Probably due to phone distraction

I don’t understand the process of law, regarding this incident. It was clear, with video footage, of mobile phone use whilst driving and the abusive threatening response from the driver. I would argue calling someone would be less distracting than playing raid shadow legends. At least you only take one hand off the wheel to call someone.

Usual child-like response (typical van drivers, though shouldn't tar them with the same brush) and usual get out of jail free response from the Police who don't want to enforce themselves, but when someone gives them evidence on a plate claim it's somehow not good enough – has happened to me with close overtakes where they insisted they believed it was over 1.5m and "no offence had taken place" – I went and measured the road and sent it to them as 1.5m was impossible as there was a manhole cover I could reference – they still insisted they believed it was 1.5m and would "send a reminder on this occasion" as if they were doing me a favour – I replied with "that's probably enough rather than a full blown prosecution threat" since most drivers don't even realise they've done a close pass 🙄

Whilst its damned dangerous using a phone whilst driving, my safety radar tells me that an angry driver I have just upset now behind me is now a major risk to my safety and a unkown revenger, pishimg people off is a well know pretext to death in any culture.
