This happened to me when I was younger and never knew why my leg was like that at 18-19years of age. Surely enough I had to undergo open heart surgery for a regurgitating aortic valve.. and had to have it replaced with a mechanical valve. I had a car accident and they found it while I was in the hospital for my broken ankle.. was truly a blessing in disguise. 🙏
Had this for a couple weeks when I was playing football. No other issues- I don’t know if it’s as serious as they say. It was only in a small-ish patch on my right leg though
This happened to me before…. I had the worst case of poison sumac I've ever had. I get poison ivy basically ever year and it's hell but I've had all three. Poison oak is worse than poison ivy but poison sumac takes the cake and it scarred my legs forever
Pitting can be bad, but i have it all the time because I'm paraplegic. It got way worse in 2021 though, to the point where fluid would leak from any little cut or just randomly seep through my skin. I have type 2 respiratory failure which was misdiagnosed for so long that I ended up with double pneumonia and early stage organ failure. Doctors dismissed the swelling as normal because of my paraplegia.
Always get this checked, especially if it is persistant beyond a day or two with no obvious reason. Dont be fobbed off.
I was completely healthy and normal up until a single step caused my left foot to crunch and then swell, after that found out i was in late stage hashimotos and had been for likely 15yrs duetomy severe memory loss. That also has caused severe autoimmune issues. Maybe a month after the hashimotos discovery both of my legs from my waist all the way to both soles started to swell with pitting edema and never stopped. I just turned 35 and am al ost fully disabled and drs still dont know wtf is causing all this. I have a gofundme link on my Twitch account of the same name if you want to help me at all/ learn more.
That happened to me when I got sepsis and one of my heart valves started to fail. I couldnt walk anymore and my feet were so swollen I couldn't get my shoes on.
My leg has been doing that for the last 2 years since I snapped my acl. I went to the drs and mentioned it and was told not to worry about it. It's just swelling from the acl… now I have gained weight because its been painful having zero treatment and harder to exercise and been told they won't treat my leg because im overweight! If they treated my leg 2 years ago back when I was a 90kg there wouldn't be this new weight issue 😂 fuck the national health service
