Hello,
I’ve read everywhere people questioning the H6* Brompton fit in a DESLEY PARIS suitcase (following excellent “Chris by Bike” YouTube videos). My suitcase dimensions (available internal space) = 70cm x 50cm x 30cm
FYI… My Brompton H model has a small after market rack and no mudguards.
It DOESN’T fit with just the saddle off and the seat post still on.
It DOES fits if you remove also the seat post (and the saddle of course).
It’s a thight fit and the back wheel + seat mechanism protude a bit (as you can see on the picture), but it has nothing to do with being an H model… In fact the Brompton width is 57cm VS the case width of 50cm…
The suitcase, the Brompton H model, a DIMPA bag, some foam protection, the seat post and Brooks saddle weights 16kg and there is plenty of space left. So it leave between 4kg and 7kg for your personnal belongings (helmet, T bag, spares, etc.).
